Yesterday we brought you the news that Hellboy is leaving theatres having only grossed $40m worldwide. Now in a new interview with Digital Spy lead actor David Harbour has been discussing the reportedly troubled production. “We did our best, but there’s so many voices that go into these things and they’re not always going to work out. I did what I could do and I feel proud of what I did, but ultimately I’m not in control of a lot of those things.” said Harbour. He went on to discuss how comic book movies in general are all tarred with…
Production is well underway on DC Universe’s fourth live-action series. Recently, lead actress Brec Bassinger celebrated her 20th birthday whilst on set and shared a snap of her birthday cake on social media. Doesn’t sound very exciting I hear you say… well when she’s wearing her Stargirl costume in the photo then it is definitely headline worthy. Neil Marshall and David Harbour’s Hellboy has officially closed its tenure at the box office. The movie, which reportedly cost around $50m to produce, faced stiff competition being released directly between Warner Bros. Shazam! and Disney’s Avengers: Endgame. But just how did the movie fare at the worldwide box office? According to figures from BoxOfficeMojo the Lionsgate release made only $21.9m in North America. To boot the movie was only able to make around $18m internationally. With its run at the end Hellboy has left theatres after grossing only $40m worldwide meaning it is safe to say a sequel is…
This past weekend we were at MCM Comic Con London. One of the best parts of attending a show like this is getting to meet some of the indie creatives who have stands in Artists Alley. We had the pleasure of meeting some of the team behind new indie comic Woodland Creatures. The series is based on the novel by Cristina Roswell and is currently raising funds on Kickstarter to bring its first issue to print. The campaign is currently only £230 short of its £3,000 goal with 4 days left to go. There are plenty of rewards to entice…

In this latest spot the studio is teasing the X-Men coming up against their deadliest foe yet. It’s also leaning towards promoting the movie as the final in the franchise. Though there’s not a lot of new footage to see here it’s still a very exciting tease for what is to come! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIjcd8892gA In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. It’s been a public holiday weekend in both the US and UK this past weekend, not a bad time to open one of your biggest movies of the year at the box office. Despite lukewarm reviews (read ours here) Disney’s Aladdin has opened with an impressive $207m worldwide. Bare with us a little as reporting does factor in the public holidays. Over the three-day weekend Aladdin made around $86.1m in North America. Factoring in Memorial Day Monday that figure rises to around $110m. Not bad off a $180m production budget. Opening weekend audiences in the US scored the movie with…
