This probably isn’t really headline news but Batman has officially joined Twitter. Alongside the main @DCComics account there is now also a specific account to update fans on all things Batman. @DCBatman hasn’t had much to say so far. His first tweet feels typically Batman though. https://twitter.com/DCBatman/status/1135320186045763585 Following Batman writer Tom King’s announcement that he joined Jim Lee and actors from the Arrowverse of a tour with US Troops last week the account has been following coverage of those events. It has now been over a decade since Indiana Jones appeared on our screens. The character last appeared in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which landed in cinemas way back in 2008. For some time now we’ve been expecting a fifth instalment in the franchise to arrive around 2021 based on comments from director Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is deep in production on his West Side Story remake which is due for release in 2020. But now Harrison Ford has confirmed that work on the sequel is coming along well. “[Indiana Jones 5] should be starting to shoot sometime next year.”…
We don’t know much about the planned third movie in the Jurassic World franchise. The overall sixth movie in the Jurassic Park franchise isn’t due to enter production for some time yet but that hasn’t stopped fans guessing where the story may go next. Following a cameo appearance by Jeff Goldblum as Dr Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom many have hoped this would open the door for Sam Neill and Laura Dern to return as Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Satler respectively. On the red carpet at the Rocketman premiere here in London MTV (via Superherohype) chatted…
The final season of FX’s Legion debuts in North America in just a couple of weeks. With its latest teaser the network is hoping to get in to the minds of its audiences as lead character, David, addresses the audience directly. Dressed in his hippy finest, David directly addresses the camera and comes across as his most calm. But things are not always what they seem, a sinister undertone lies underneath his words as he guides us through a meditation routine. Keep an eye on the TV to his side though as you might see some interesting imagery… https://twitter.com/LegionFX/status/1135591979771973635 Legion,…
Empire Online thinks they may just know who will be taking on the villainous role in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. The film magazine has recently published a piece pointing to actor Benicio Del Toro (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) taking on a role they call “The General”. Other sites have picked up the rumour naming the character “The Major”. Very little is known about his role at this stage other than that, should be appear in the movie, he will be a new target for Task Force X. No word as yet from the actor or the studio on…
Avengers: Endgame saw quite the paradigm shift for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. The character was the one to give the killing blow to Thanos in the present day but his reaction to it gave way to what has affectionately become known as Lebowski-Thor. He was certainly a popular costume choice as MCM Comic Con a couple of weeks ago. But where does the character go from here? In a recent interview with Cinema Blend Hemsworth discussed his willingness to return to Marvel Studios. “I’ll work with any of those guys,” he said. “Asgardian Of The Galaxy. That’s actually great. You might’ve just got…
Warner Bros. has still yet to confirm that Robert Pattinson has been cast as Batman. But whilst the studio hasn’t commented director Matt Reeves has… kind of… confirmed the news. The Batman director took to Twitter yesterday to post a GIF of Pattinson along with three bat emojis. That counts as confirmation right? It seems like Reeves was publicly giving his backing to the casting of Robert “Battinson” Pattinson. Hopefully this means Warner Bros. will soon confirm the news. https://twitter.com/mattreevesLA/status/1135422242425196544 The Batman is due for release on June 25, 2021. Simon Kinberg has what many would consider a chequered past with the X-Men franchise. The first-time director is currently deep on the promotional tour for Dark Phoenix but he first made his name writing the underwhelming X-Men: The Last Stand. Following that movie Kinberg has had a hand in almost every X movie which has been released. Now, in this new video interview, Kinberg discusses his time working on the Marvel property. He touches on developing Dark Phoenix and how the movie differs from The Last Stand. If one thing is obvious from listening to Kinberg talk its his love…

20th Century Fox is currently in the midst of its merger with Disney. It’s no secret the merger means that Marvel Studios has regained ownership of characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four universes. Back in 2011 Fox also still owned several other Marvel properties including Daredevil. Screenwriter Zack Stentz recently made an appearance on Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin’s Fatman Beyond podcast and had some interesting revelations about plans Fox had for its Marvel characters. “My ex-partner and I, when we were working at Fox and we were working on X-Men: First Class, we did a secret movie for them that, I…
