Deadline is reporting that Sony Pictures Venom 2 has added a new villain to its script, straight from the Spider-verse. According to the trade it won’t just be Woody Harrelson’s Carnage that Eddie (Tom Hardy) faces on against this time around. Comic book villain Shriek will also be making an appearance. The character’s real name is Frances Barrison. A mutant with the capability to unleash powerful sonic blasts. She can also call forth her enemies’ darkest impulses. Variety has some casting news which we never saw coming as How I Met Your Mother and Doctor Horrible’s Sing Along Blog star Neil Patrick Harris has joined the cast of The Matrix 4. At this stage his role is being kept completely under wraps and we have no news other than that he has officially boarded the project alongside Aquaman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II who joined the Warner Bros. production last week. We’ve all known for some time that Kevin Feige was a god in the world of Marvel but now the news has been made official. Deadline has broken the news that Feige has been promoted to Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer. Feige now finds himself in charge of not only Marvel Studios but also the TV, animation and comics divisions will also report in to him.
