Now here’s a thoroughly interesting and exciting casting rumour: Deadline is reporting that former Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi has joined the cast of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. As with all of the recent casting announcements, details of Capaldi’s role are being kept tightly under wraps. Capaldi joins the recently announced Taika Waititi and the returning Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Viola Davis. Other newcomers include Idris Elba, John Cena, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior and Storm Reid. Production is set to begin in Atalanta in the next few weeks. Production has been underway for some time on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 3. The third batch of episode is due for release on Netflix later this year, most likely around Halloween season. Teasing a new villainous character, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has also tasted that a Spellman death is coming.
