Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot have rocked the stage at CCXP in Sao Paolo, Brazil, tonight by bringing the first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984. The panel, which in a first for the convention, was live streamed across the globe via Twitter. Thousands of fans were decked out in their best cosplay for the event which also saw the debut of several new character posters for the film. Breaking news from DC Universe this evening as the first teaser for 2020’s Stargirl has just been released. The teaser features a tiny snippet of footage from the show alongside some staged scenes of the teenage leads. The teaser confirms that the series will arrive in Spring 2020, most likely debuting following the conclusion of this season of the Arrowverse shows. The film tells the story of a lonely bank teller who discovers he is actually a background character in the open-world videogame Free City. It hits cinemas in July 2020. Director Matt Reeves has confirmed another name for 2021’s The Batman. Reeves took to his twitter feed to announce that The Magnificent Seven star Peter Sarsgaard has joined the cast of the Warner Bros./DC Films picture. In a surprise change to his usual announcements, Reeves did not confirm who Sarsgaard would be playing.
