The first trailer for Black Widow debuted less than one month ago but we’re already hearing news of a second look at the upcoming Marvel Studios film. It’s been confirmed that an “exclusive look” at Black Widow will debut on January 13 as part of ESPN’s National Championship game. Sony Pictures long gestating Uncharted movie appears to be in trouble again with the loss of another director. THR is reporting that Bumblee director Travis Knight is being forced out of the project due to another production delay. The delays are being attributed to lead actor Tom Holland’s commitment to returning to his role as Spider-Man. With the as-yet-untitled third Spider-Man movie set for release on July 16, 2021 it seems that production Uncharted would need to, once again, be delayed. The first trailer for New Mutants debuted back in October of 2017 and brought the promise of an exciting new entry to the X-Men franchise. Following that trailer things went wildly off track and a series of delays saw the film pushed back to April 2020. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has held on to the top spot at the North America for a second weekend. Taking an estimated $72m, the Disney/Lucasfilm release fell by approximately -59% from it’s huge $177m opening weekend. Despite a stellar Christmas Day performance of $32.1m the film has begun to slow down in the post-holiday slump. Performance year-on-year in North America was down by just under -5% on 2018.
