Sony Pictures long gestating Uncharted movie appears to be in trouble again with the loss of another director. THR is reporting that Bumblee director Travis Knight is being forced out of the project due to another production delay. The delays are being attributed to lead actor Tom Holland’s commitment to returning to his role as Spider-Man. With the as-yet-untitled third Spider-Man movie set for release on July 16, 2021 it seems that production Uncharted would need to, once again, be delayed. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has held on to the top spot at the North America for a second weekend. Taking an estimated $72m, the Disney/Lucasfilm release fell by approximately -59% from it’s huge $177m opening weekend. Despite a stellar Christmas Day performance of $32.1m the film has begun to slow down in the post-holiday slump. Performance year-on-year in North America was down by just under -5% on 2018.
