Let’s start out with a big spoiler for anybody who hasn’t read any kind of Batman comic in the last year… Damian Wayne died and he took the ‘Batman Incorporated’ title with him in one final battle to the death with the Leviathan and his own mother. Bruce wallowed in self pity for a long time, teaming with a different partner every month in ‘Batman & …..’ titles until Nightwing finally brought him to him senses only for Grandad Ra’s Al Ghul to come along and steal the bodies of both mother and son and that brings us up-to-date with…
‘Batman: Assault on Arkham’ is the latest in a long line of DCUAOM (DC Universe Animated Original Movies) released direct-to-video; it all started out almost seven years ago with ‘Superman: Doomsday’. UK fans you might be saying something along the lines of ‘What, there are lots of these movies?!’ and our answer is yes there are but sadly many of them don’t get to see the light of day over here but thankfully many of the releases are region free and simple to import from the US. ‘Assault on Arkham’ does seem to be seeing a release for the UK on…
Those of us lucky enough to make it in to room 6BCF at SDCC this past weekend were treated to a screening of a pilot episode of new NBC series ‘Constantine’ based on the comics of the same name and also the ‘Hellblazer’ and perhaps even ‘Justice League: Dark’ titles. We know a lot of you are probably thinking ‘I’ve seen this already, it leaked ages ago!’ but the version screened at Comic Con was a newly updated version with new special effects and a reshot ending to help smooth over the exit of Lucy Griffiths. Before we get ahead…
Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin have little to celebrate this week, apart from a massively successful series entering it’s third season and one of the most buzzed pilots of 2014/15, as DC guru Geoff Johns has gone on record as saying that DC/Warner Bros will categorically NOT be merging their film and tv universes. The bottom line? Right now we won’t see Gustin and Amell playing their hero alter-egos on the big screen in 2015’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ or it’s follow up ‘Justice League’ movie. We’re bummed about this. What about you?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO2_iUkojCY We know we’re a little slow on the uptake in posting this one but here’s some awesome footage of the Batmobile in action from the upcoming ‘Arkham Knight’ game. The threequel is set to be released in Q1 of 2015 on next-gen consoles only. Hopefully you, like us, are currently saving up for your Xbox One and/or PS4. The footage shows off the Batmobile in both battle mode and standard driving mode and it looks as though it is pretty badass in bad ass in both settings. Enjoy!
Lego has unveiled what will likely be one of the hottest toys at this years SDCC… a lego ‘The Dark Knight’ style tumbler. The set won’t be released until later in the year but is reported to be on display to whet the appetites of con-goers. The model is reportedly features “an armored exterior, adjustable wings, a detailed interior (with a console screen that reads ‘INTIMIDATE’) and oversized rubber-tread tires,” and clocks in at 15-inches-long. Included within the Tumbler set are action figures from “The Dark Knight,” including a Joker and of course Batman himself. The Tumbler will be on display at…

Written by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kriesberg & Geoff Johns Directed by David Nutter ‘The Flash’ premieres October 7th 2014 on The CW network. ‘Arrow’ has done amazing things for the comic genre on TV, there’s no denying it. Where ‘Smallville’ had a small niche of die-hard fans and a wealth of critics ‘Arrow’ has a massive fan base who would class themselves as die-hard and the critics have lauded the show as the leader of the pack in genre television. So it was only natural that Warner Bros. TV and The CW were going to look for a way to…
