Warner Bros. yesterday made the last minute decisions to move up the embargo on social media reactions to Justice League. As 5pm here in GMT rolled around we nervously sat and waited for the reactions to come in and it turned out they were, mostly, positive. Whilst several reporters pointed to a ‘fun but flawed’ movie it seems that Justice League has been on the whole well received. American ticket website Fandango has today released a new behind-the-scenes look at Justice League. Featuring some new shots from the film a well as a tonne of off camera action there’s a lot to see in the two-and-a-half minute featurette. In an announcement which nobody saw coming Marvel royalty Brian Michael Bendis has left the company to take up a deal with DC Comics. Earlier today the DC Comics Twitter account exclusively announced that Bendis will be joining the company in the near future for a ‘multiyear, multi-faceted’ deal. Overnight The Wall Street Journal has posted a really interesting article on Justice League. The article ‘Can the ‘Justice League’ Keep Up With Offbeat Superheroes?’ looks at the production and release of the film but also the future of DC Films. On the production of the film the article notes that the appointment of John Berg and Geoff Johns to head the DC Films Unit was a direct consequence of the reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Disney star Asher Angel has been announced to star as Billy Batson in the upcoming Shazam film. Earlier this evening Variety exclusively broke the news that Angel, star of Andi Mack, will be joining Zachary Levi (Chuck) in the as-yet-undated picture. Rumours circulating in the press have Mark Strong (Kingsman) in talks to play the villainous Doctor Sivana. Grace Fulton is also rumoured to be joining the cast in a supporting role. David F.
