Some good news for Lucifer fans today. Whilst the #SaveLuficer movement continues on social media FOX has made some decisions regards two bonus episodes of the series. In the past FOX has kept episodes back for use in subsequent seasons. These standalone episodes don’t push forwards the shows main plot. Two such episodes still exist following the series huge cliffhanger ending. The network has confirmed both episodes will air back-to-back next Monday night, May 30th, on FOX at 8/7c. Patty Jenkins recently declared that WonderWoman 2 will enter production “shockingly soon”. The film will feature Cheetah as one of its villains and will be set in the 80s. Beyond this we know very little about Gal Gadot’s fourth outing as Diana Prince. We can now confirm one further detail via Omega Underground. Oscar nominated production designer Aline Bonetto will return for the sequel. Bonetto was instrumental in designing the look of the first film alongside Jenkins. Bonetto was nominated for two Oscars for production design for Amélie and A Very Long Engagement. Following all the set photos which have surfaced online we had expected Warner Bros. to release an official costume photo at this stage. Last night Zack Snyder shared a new Batman v Superman set photo. The director regularly shares fresh content via his Vero channel. This time we’ve got a new look at Batman from his “Knightmare” scene. However you might notice this isn’t Ben Affleck wearing the cowl. The weekend is over and the numbers are in. Deadpool 2 has opened to $301.3m at the worldwide box office! The Merc has dethroned Avengers: Infinity War from the top of the box office. Going in to the weekend estimates ranged from $130-$150m domestic. The final weekend estimates put the film a little lower at$125m. The first Deadpool took $132m back in 2016. Though disappointing that Deadpool 2 failed to overtake the first film it’s still an impressive haul for an R-rated movie. Deadpool 2 is off to a strong, if not stellar start to its opening weekend. The 20th Century Fox sequel broken Thursday night preview records with a haul of $18.6m. The film then went on to gross what is reported as a $53.5m opening day. Without the Thursday previews that means the film had a $34.9m Friday. Estimates for the weekend have been revised to approximately $132m.
