HBO is currently hard at work filming the pilot for its Watchmen adaption.
Whilst we know only fragments of what the series will entail one new detail has us intrigued. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Jeremy Irons has joined the pilot in a lead role capacity.
Although no details have been revealed about his role on Damon Lindelof’s series, Deadline is reporting he’ll play “an aging and imperious lord of a British manor.”
Lindleof has made it clear the series will not be a straight adaption of the Watchmen comic. It will instead exist in the world of and may well feature an entirely new cast of characters.
Joining Irons in the cast are includes Don Johnson (Django Unchained), Regina King (The Leftovers), Tim Blake Nelson (The Incredible Hulk), Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens and Andrew Howard.
