Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a U.S. Air Force pilot whose an Air Force whose DNA fuses with that of an alien, and she’s thrust into the middle of an intergalactic conflict. The cast also includes Samuel L. Since the reveal of the first trailer Titans we haven’t heard a huge amount from the series cast. Following set photos and our first official look at Joaquin Phoenix, Warner Bros. has officially announced that Joker is now in production in New York. The official press release, which was sent out late last night, also confirms some of the casting rumours we’ve been hearing. The Dark Knight Rises star Brett Cullen has officially joined the cast. Though his role is not named it is understood he is taking over from Alec Baldwin in playing Thomas Wayne. The Predatorhas opening in North America with the lowest box office tally for any film opening in over 4,000 theatres. That news, courtesy of BoxOfficeMojo, coming amidst the films on going controversy surrounding the inclusion of a registered sex offender in a now deleted scene. With $24M in the bank the film was able to top the North American box office but with a disappointing “C+” CinemaScore from its audience the film is unlikely to have legs. The new image features a rather serious looking Kara amidst a steamy red background, steam (or smoke – take your pick) rising from her balled fists.
