In a weird-and-wonderful interview with EW (thanks to Batman-News.com) Warner Bros. exec Toby Emmerich has expressed some interesting thoughts on Aquaman. As part of their build up to the films first trailer EW asked the studio chairman for his thoughts on the upcoming DC Films release. It’s safe to say that his responses are not quite what we, or the interviewer, expected. What excites you about having Aquaman in your pipeline? That it’s coming out this year. I’m excited to have it in as the last Warner Bros. release in 2018. What made the Dec 21 date the right time to release it? I didn’t…

Last night Supergirl wrapped up it’s third season with an action-packed finale. Kara finally took down Reign in battle but it was not without its consequences. Borrowing aspects from Superman: The Movie the finale saw several characters killed off. Seeing the devastation around here Kara used black Kryptonite to travel in time and make a second attempt. But in the closing moments of the episode several of those death still left us with characters departures. Executive Producer Robert Rovner confirmed during an interview with TV Line that Chris Wood (Mon-El) would not be returning for the fourth season. “The plan for Chris was always…

Currently…
Here in the UK we have a frustratingly long wait for Ant-Man and The Wasp. Thanks to World Cup football the film doesn’t arrive here until August 3. Though the film has yet to be formally announced it appears Todd Phillips Joker begins production in September. Omega Underground reports that the film, set to say Joaquin Phoenix, will shoot largely in New York. The city will act as Gotham during the origin story. Little more is known about the film at this stage. We understand it will form part of a new off-shoot of DC Films known as “DC Dark” or “DC Black”. This new table will seek to create one-shot, lower budget films based on characters from the DC Universe. Joker is expected to shoot on a modest $55m budget, aiming…
We told you it would happen. Following our first official look at Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman 1984 a series of set photos and videos have arrived online. It looks like Diana is a little beaten up in the scenes being filmed here. Rumours from the set are teasing that Pedro Pascal’s secret role is one of the Greek Gods in disguise. Who could Diana be battling here? https://twitter.com/loveforgal/status/1008463102956986368 We’ve also seen a couple of short set videos appear. The first shows Wonder Woman in a high speed chase; the second shows off some of the chemistry between Gadot and co-star Chris…
We possibly wouldn’t class this one as news but it certainly is intriguing. Actor Henry Cavill posted the below to his Instagram showing that he’s back in the gym. In the caption on his post he mentions working on his “Super Buns” and alludes to the fact he could be donning his red cape sooner than we think. Could it all be a smoke screen? Or is Cavill about to play Superman again on the big screen? https://www.instagram.com/p/BkFhYa4lkzC Follow us on Facebook, on Twitter @GetYourComicOn, or on Instagram at GetYourComicOn. With filming now well under way on Wonder Woman 1984 we’re getting more snippets of info on the films story. With the cast filming out in public in Washington it was only a matter of time before a shot of Gal Gadot in costume would hit the headlines. Once again Warner Bros. is a step ahead as Gadot herself has released this first look at…
Star Trek: Discovery is part way through production on its second season. But the boat has once again been rocked as the show has lost another set of showrunners. Bryan Fuller was original set to helm the series but left early in the first seasons production. The keys to Discovery were then handed to Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts. The pair saw the show through to the end of its first production cycle. Many credit the pair with making a truly compelling, contemporary Star Trek series. Word overnight from THR confirms that Berg and Harberts have been removed from their jobs and replaced by series Co-Creator…
