The Batwoman TV series is gearing up to begin production on its pilot. Directed by David Nutter the pilot is expected to shoot in early Spring with a view to the series debuting later in the year. The cast and crew of Gotham were recently on hand to present footage from the series finale. At a special Television Critics Association panel in celebration of the series it was also revealed just how 17 year-old David Mazouz will suit up as The Dark Knight. Actress Lauren Cohan departed the show following a well documented dispute of the pay gap between herself and her male co-stars. After plenty of casting news, HBO programming president, Casey Bloys, has finally announced when the Game of Thrones prequel still begin production. Speaking to EW Bloys said production will film through the summer of 2019. The network is currently targeting a 2020 and possibly 2021 release date for the series.
