Overnight news has broken that Warner Bros. are moving ahead with recasting Floyd Lawton/Deadshot for James Gunn’s upcoming The Suicide Squad. According to THR Luthor star Idris Elba met with Gunn last week to discuss the role. According to the trade that meeting went “swimmingly”. It is also said that Elba is Gunn’s only choice to take on over the role. Will Smith only recently exited the role due to scheduling conflicts. Sad news this morning for DCTV fans as The CW and star Stephen Amell have confirmed that Arrow is coming to an end. The series, currently airing its seventh season, will return for a 10-episode eighth season later in the year.
