Yesterday evening Total Film magazine unveiled the cover for their latest issue. The newest cover star is, of course, Zach Levi in his full Shazam! costume. The magazine will hit shelves later this month and will feature a full spread on the latest DC Films release. Here’s a sneaky peek at the cover for the magazine. Two new stills from the article have also been released. Though they’re not hi-res they’re still well worth a look. The first images see’s Levi alongside Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy. Following his time travel comments regarding Captain Marvel, Samuel L. Jackson is back with another interview snippet on the movie. This time the Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran has been discussing how one of the infinity stones may factor in to the movies storyline. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted scenes in the movies trailer which point to Carol Danvers visiting the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. operation as part of S.H.I.E.L.D. Today’s latest DC Films rumour comes to us directly from the team at Revenge of the Fans. The site has recently dropped a huge update on various projects with the DC Films slate including this interesting tidbit on Birds of Prey. The site reports that with a modest budget of around $60-65M director Cathy Yan is looking to ground the film heavily in reality. In doing so Yan is shying away from using what the site calls “flashy” costumes. It is rumoured that the cast will instead go for a more understated, “cool” look rather than anything outlandish. A couple of days ago we brought you the news that S. J. Clarkson has signed on to direct the Game of Thrones spin-off pilot. What we didn’t report was the impact that might have on the long gestating Star Trek 4. Our last update on the fourth movie in the Kelvin timeline pointed to financial issues for the picture. Last night we got an interesting tidbit of information regarding Warner Bros. future plans for its current animated Superman saga. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment PR guru Gary Miereanu took to twitter confirming The Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen will get a joint release later in 2019. Back in 2013 Warner Bros. gave The Dark Knight Returns two-part animated movie the same treatment. Combining the two-part story in to one double-feature-length movie.
