Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey join Stephen Amell at MCM COMIC CON London

In the wake of the cancellation of Heroes and Villains Fan Fest fans have been wondering just which guests might hop over to MCM Comic Con which takes place the same weekend.

A couple of weeks ago it was announced that Arrow star Stephen Amell would be joining the lineup and now it’s confirmed that two of his co-stars will be coming along with him.

David Ramsey (Diggle) and Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity) have both been confirmed to join the line-up. Yes the original Team Arrow will be altogether at the event on May 24, 25 and 26.

Here’s the press release from MCM:

Team Arrow assemble! Arrow actors Emily Bett Rickards and David Ramsey will both be joining show star Stephen Amell as guests at this month’s MCM London Comic Con. Rickards plays Felicity Smoak on the hit superhero series, while Ramsey portrays John ‘Spartan’ Diggle. As well as starring in Arrow, Rickards and Ramsey have also appeared on other ‘Arrowverse’ series such as The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.

Based on DC’s classic comic book series, Arrow follows the adventures of playboy-turned-vigilante Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who secretly fights crime as the sharp-shooting Green Arrow. Canadian actor Emily Bett Rickards appears as fan favourite character Felicity Smoak, aka ‘Overwatch’ – a savvy, quick-thinking former IT technician who is recruited by Queen to help in his crusade to clean up Starling City and eventually marries him.

David Ramsey plays another of Oliver Queen’s closest allies – his bodyguard and confidant John Diggle. Named after Green Arrow: Year One writer Andy Diggle – a fellow guest at MCM London – Ramsey’s character is a tough former special forces soldier known by his alter ego ‘Spartan’ – although Diggle also briefly assumes the mantle of the Green Lantern himself. Pop culture fans will also recognise Detroit-born Ramsey as Dexter’s Anton Briggs.

MCM London Comic Con will be returning to ExCeL London on 24-26 May to celebrate all things great and geeky, covering everything from movies, comics and videogames to anime, manga and cosplay. As well as hosting hundreds of exhibitors and retailers, the show features a Comic Village and Author Corner packed with ultra-talented artists and writers; a variety of stages showing screenings, guest panels, videogame tournaments and international costume competitions; a PopAsia area devoted to Japanese, Korean and East Asian culture; a kids’ Tree House featured area; retro and free-play games; fan meets and much, much more.

Tickets for MCM London Comic Con are available from the official MCM online store. To stay up-to-date with show news, visit mcmcomiccon.com/london. Take part in the conversation by visiting us @MCMComicCon or at www.facebook.com/LondonComicCon.
