Today marked the inaugural episode of DC Daily. The news show which will form part of the DC Universe streaming platform. The show will broadcast a new episode Monday to Saturday each week and to mark the premiere host Tiffany Smith brought us a new clip from Titans. Today is the launch day for DC Universe. The streaming service has moved from beta to live stage with the app available for iOS devices across North America. Unfortunately it isn’t here in the UK yet but we patiently await news of when we will be able to see the original content coming from the service. A new rumour today from Fandom Wire has another member of the Bat-family head to the streaming service. In anticipation of October 5 Marvel comics and Sony Pictures has announced a special Venom tie-in comic. Written by Sean Ryan, illustrated by Szymon Kudranski, coloured by Ian Herring and lettered by Joe Sabino the one-shot features an awesome cover by artist SKAN. Earlier this year Marvel announced a new Vision miniseries would begin this November. The series was coming to us from the creative team of Chelsea Cain, Marc Mohan and Aud Koch. But yesterday rumours began to build that Marvel had pulled the series from its release schedule. Whilst the company has yet to confirm the news, Cain took to social media to let fans know that Vision is no more. Venom fans have been waiting with bated breath for the MPAA to announce the films rating. Many were hoping for an R rating to allow for some of the characters trademark gore. Unfortunately that is not the case. Overnight it has been confirmed that Venom has been rated PG-13. This news will no doubt disappoint many but looking on the bright side it could go some way towards confirming that one day Tom Hardy could come up against Tom Holland in a PG-13 MCU Spider-Man. Godzilla: King of the Monsters isn’t due to hit cinemas until May of 2019. But the film is already locked (to some extent) and has been submitted to the Motion Picture Association of America for rating. The news is, of course, that the latest outing for the giant monster will be rated PG-13. That should equate to a 12A rating when the movie hits cinemas in the UK.
