Venom utterly devoured the competition at the box office this weekend making an approximate $205.2M worldwide! After a record breaking preview night for October the movie went on to break serval further records. First up the movie took $35.75M on Friday to again take the record for October. On Saturday the gross grew a further $26M.6 rounding out the weekend with $20.6M on Sunday. Its North America gross is currently $80M. Internationally the film took $125.2M from 58 markets according to BoxOfficeMojo. The Star Trek: Discovery panel has just wrapped up at NYCC and now we have a new trailer to whet your appetite for the shows return. It was officially confirmed during the panel (and in the trailer) that the show returns on January 17, 2019 in North America. Venom has finally opened in North America and the news from Thursday previews is good! The film has opened to a strong $10M from its preview night taking the record of Octobers highest ever previews. That record was previously held by Paranormal Activity 3 which was released back in 2011. There’s no way to call how the weekend will go. It’s been confirmed overnight that 2019 will see the release of Krypton season one on DC Universe. During one of the many DC Comics panels taking place at New York Comic Con it was announced that the series will arrive next year alongside several other new additions to the streaming service. The classic Supergirl movie arrives today (October 5) in HD for fans to stream. 2019 will also see the release of new animated movies Reign of the Superman and Batman: Hush via the online platform. Do we finally have confirmation that Bullseye will be appearing in the third season of Daredevil? Overnight Netflix has released an updated cast list for the series which includes an interesting tidbit of information. Casting details released by the streaming service list actor Wilson Bethel (How to Get Away With Murder) as playing Benjamin Pointdexter. Fans will know Pointdexter is an often used alias of the character Bullseye in the comics. It’s worth pointing out then that Bethel is the man wearing the costume in the trailer below. It’s only been a couple of days since Jon Favreau confirmed his new Star Wars series would be titled The Maladorian. Last week we saw that sets were under construction for the show and now we have a first look at one of series characters. Aquaman director James Wan has debuted a new poster for the upcoming DC Films movie. The epic new poster not only gives us a first look at the titular characters signature trident. It also teases his original comic book costume. The arm seen holding the trident is clearly wearing the classic orange and green outfit that fans have been clamouring to see.
