Breaking news tonight: The Wrap has exclusively revealed that James Gunn is in talks with Warner Bros. to write and direct Suicide Squad 2. Gunn was unceremoniously fired by Disney earlier this year after comments made on Twitter years ago resurfaced in the press. At the time the Guardians of the Galaxy director was fiercely defended by colleagues and fans held hope the studio would overturn their decision. Now it seems the acclaimed writer-director may be jumping over to the competition. It seems Warner Bros. has moved on from the script written by Gavin O’Connor and is moving in a new direction. Breaking news for DCTV fans! On the eve of The Flash returning to TV we’ve got our first look at Ruby Rose in costume as Batwoman! The CW has just released the below image showing off the character in full costume. EW has teased that filming on this years crossover, which features Rose’s debut in the role, begins filming this week in Vancouver. Actress Rebecca Romijn has shared a first look at her character – currently dubbed Number One – from Star Trek: Discovery season 2. Sharing the image on her instagram account the actress wrote “Going for the gold! What an honor. First look at Number One on #StarTrekDiscovery.” The role was originally seen in the unaired pilot for Star Trek back in 1966 played by Majel Barrett. Barrett went on to play Nurse Chapel in the series after the show was retooled before making it to air. The CW promo machine is getting in to full swing and has just released these new photos from season 5’s second episode “Blocked.” Not only do we get to see more of Team Flash in action but we get our first look at the new Big Bad, Cicada. Venom utterly devoured the competition at the box office this weekend making an approximate $205.2M worldwide! After a record breaking preview night for October the movie went on to break serval further records. First up the movie took $35.75M on Friday to again take the record for October. On Saturday the gross grew a further $26M.6 rounding out the weekend with $20.6M on Sunday. Its North America gross is currently $80M.
