This week Alita: Battle Angel made its debut in China. Following a middling performance in North America the movie has been seeing some strong returns in international territories. Estimates are coming in this evening that Alita has made $64.8M. If correct that would be the highest ever debut for a 20th Century Fox movie in the territory. It also sets a new record for IMAX screenings in February. The movie has now made $263.3M off a $170M production budget. 20th Century Fox has been doing some release date juggling. With the studio due to merge with Disney in the coming weeks things are on the move to allow for a smooth transition between the two.
