Chris Pine has broken his silence and discussed his upcoming return as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman 1984. The actor has been discussing his role with Variety but remained cagey on just how his Trevor will return.
Fans will remember that Trevor died attempting to help Diana stop Ares and end the First World War. It was soon confirmed that Pine (and Trevor) would be returning for the highly anticipated sequel.
Discussing how Trevor will fit in to the new story Pine said “This one is a little different for me tonally. The tables are turned, and I’m more of the deer in the headlights.”
Gal Gadot returns in the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman 1984. The film also stars Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, as well as Pedro Pascal. And Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins.
Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.
Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit cinemas on June 5, 2020.
