The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is getting underway today in France and that means we have a fun week of news ahead of us. Getting ahead of the pack are Netflix who have just debuted the official trailer for upcoming animated comedy series Alley Cats.
The series, created by Ricky Gervais, follows the trials and tribulations of a group of feral British cats who seek companionship while ruminating about the struggles of everyday life, and features a bold 2D animation style produced at the UK-based award-winning Blink Industries.
Later this week, Ricky Gervais will also attend Annecy International Animation Film Festival on Thursday 25th June for a discussion of the upcoming series, which features his signature style of heart and social commentary that audiences have come to expect. As part of the discussion, Netflix will also give a world exclusive sneak peek of the first two episodes, ahead of the series premiere.
