With the upcoming release of Dead Or Alive 6 Last Round on 25th June 2026, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA announced that the iconic characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond, from the highly popular SNK fighting game The King of Fighters XIV, will be joining the already packed roster.
These iconic fighters, who first made their mark on the DOA stage in 2019, are back with a vengeance. At launch, players can also pick up a bumper costume set for the duo, featuring five stylish outfits including the “Happy Wedding,” “Pirates of the 7 Seas,” and “Sexy Bunny” costumes.
The technical leap in this edition of Dead or Alive 6 is powered by the newly enhanced KATANA ENGINE, which introduces the LOST PARADISE “OBORO” stage. This stage showcases a new lighting system that utilizes natural ambient light and shadows to create a level of realism never before seen in the series. Fans can expect “OBORO” versions of other classic stages to be rolled out as the game evolves.
Last Round includes the original 24-character roster plus five previously released DLC fighters: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki. For those who want to jump into the action without the full investment, DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters will launch simultaneously as a free-to-play edition. This version features Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO, offering access to Photo Mode, DOA Quest, and online modes right out of the gate.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round and DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters are planned for release on 25th June 2026 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Windows via Steam®
*Please note: Character licenses for Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond from the original 2019 release do not carry over to Last Round. Story Mode in Core Fighters requires the “Story Unlock” DLC.
