We know very little about director Kane Parsons’ upcoming sci-fi horror project Backrooms. The film, which comes to UK cinemas on May 29 courtesy of A24, remains shrouded in secrecy. Although the studio has now revealed a teaser poster which tells us… well… very little!
The film is Parsons directorial debut and comes from a screenplay by DMZ showrunner Roberto Patino and Will Soodik. Clues can be found in Parsons’ YouTube series, also called Backrooms, which focusses on the urban legend of the same name. The new theatrical version will star Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, Lukita Maxwell, and Avan Jogia.
