Last night a brand new episode of The Penguin made its debut in the US. Today “Bliss” will make its UK premiere on Sky TV and NOW and to celebrate we’re taking look at the synopsis and stills to try and decipher where the story might be going next.
“Bliss” is written by Noelle Valdivia and directed by Craig Zobel. Before we dive in to those stills, here’s a look at the official synopsis: While Oz and Sofia seek to control the future of Gotham’s drug trade, Victor is torn between his new life and his old.

The series stars Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka Penguin), Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Deirdre O’Connell as Frances Cobb and Rhenzy Feliz as Victor Aguilar. Also starring are Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Clancy Brown, James Madio, Scott Cohen, Michael Zegen, Carmen Ejogo and Theo Rossi.
The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro. Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, THE PENGUIN is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho are under an overall deal, and DC Studios. Daniel Pipski also serves as executive producer.
