It’s been a great weekend for Lauren LeFranc, Matt Reeves and the team behind The Penguin. Following the series premiere on MAX and on HBO in the US the first episode has reached over 5.3 million views surpassing the premiere ratings for Succession season 4 and The White Lotus season 2.
Viewership for The Batman spin-off was the biggest four-day audience for a new series on Max in every region globally since The Last of Us premiered in January 2023. Those numbers also align with the premiere of True Detective: Night Country, that series brought in 5.7 million viewers over a similar period and had a final average season audience of 13.9 million viewers. The big news here… The Penguin is a hit!
