Review
With every new issue, it’s undeniable that Tini Howard and Sweeney Boo’s ‘Harley Quinn’ stands in a league of its own. Its combination of razor-sharp humour, charming character development, zany action, and polished storytelling highlights its sheer brilliance. If you’re a fan of Harley Quinn, consider this comic an absolute must-read!
In the latest issue of Tini Howard and Sweeny Boo’s ‘Harley Quinn’, everyone’s favourite mallet-swinging psychiatrist clown continues to find herself in trouble, and this time, she goes to court. Harley’s chilling battle against Mr Freeze continues, and in this issue, they go head to head. The build-up to this confrontation has been several comics in the making, so it feels grand and explosive.
The issue kicks off with Harley, paired with the expertise of the Batfamily’s Robin, who has broken into Mr Freeze’s tower. Naturally, as you can imagine, things take a turn. Not only does the Clown Queen of Crime come face to face with Mr Freeze, but she also has to deal with Officer Pulaski. So far, Pulaski has made her agenda crystal clear; she hates the bat family, and she has it out for Harley.
The story keeps getting better and better. It effectively features a central villain and main plot while also incorporating side plots involving other characters in Harley’s life. Additionally, it subtly sets the stage for future storylines without overshadowing the current narrative. Overall, it’s a well-balanced, well-written, and well-thought-out piece. And what underpins this entire thing? The art artwork. The art continues to impress: colourful, detailed, and masterfully crafted. Each frame reflects Harley’s vibrant worldview and encapsulates the fun and entertaining tone of the story.
