It’s Doctor Who premiere week and we’ve got brand new looks at both of this week’s two-episode debut. The series returns to screens in the UK on BBC iPlayer from midnight on May 11, 2024. Whilst fans in the US can stream new episodes weekly on Disney+.
First up is a brand new season 1, episode 1 titled “Space Babies”. The episode is written by showrunner Russell T. Davies and directed by Julie Anne Robinson. Before we take a look at the stills, here’s a sneaky peek at the episode synopsis:
Ruby learns the Doctor’s amazing secrets when he takes her to a Baby Farm in the future that’s being run by babies, but threatened by a bogeyman.

The new season will also see an all star line up including returnees Yasmin Finney and Bonnie Langford who will reprise their roles as Rose Noble and Mel Bush. As well as introducing Jinkx Monsoon as the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet, Jonathan Groff in a mysterious key role, and Lenny Rush as Morris, to name just a few…
For those in the UK, for the first time ever, the Doctor will land with two episodes premiering on BBC iPlayer at midnight, before arriving on BBC One later that day right before the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final.
At the same time, those outside of the UK can watch the Doctor and Ruby on their epic adventures as the TARDIS is set to land on Disney+ where available. Viewers in the UK will now be able to watch whenever and wherever they choose, with the option to stream at midnight on BBC iPlayer or tune in at primetime on Saturday nights on BBC One.
