Star Wars day has officially been and gone, but let’s face it… That won’t stop us from talking about Star Wars. To celebrate all things Star Wars, Disney+ shared a brand new trailer for the upcoming live-action series The Acolyte, a series set way before the events of the Prequels when the Jedi are in their prime and the Sith are almost fairytales, forgotten to time. This new trailer is full of stunning sequences, but we actually get a better look at what is happening, and we can’t wait. There are still a lot of burning questions raised in this trailer, but one thing is certain… No one is safe from the truth.
Synopsis:
“In The Acolyte, an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”
The High Republic saw the Jedi Order at its prime, centuries prior to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Now, if you’re new to this era Star Wars, The Acolyte should be a great introduction into something quite fresh and new. However, if you love Star Wars as much as we do, then we highly recommend reading the books of The High Republic. The stories are wild and the world building is magnificent, the High Republic is Star Wars at its richest and boldest.
Joining Stenberg and Jung-jae in The Acolyte is Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
