Disney have announced an array of changes to their upcoming release schedule. Changes always cause a bit of chaos, but in the grand scheme of things… 2026 really isn’t that far away. As well as announcing that Toy Story 5 and the Live-Action Moana will be released in 2026, Disney also revealed that the cinematic adventure revolving around Din Djarin and little Grogu will be hitting the bit screen on May 22nd, 2026. This film will mark the first Star Wars movie since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker… 7 years without a Star Wars movie to watch in cinema, surely you can understand why some of us are on edge.
Here’s a quick recap of the current slate of movies that have had their dates altered:
- The Mandalorian & Grogu – May 22nd, 2026
- Toy Story 5 – June 19th, 2026
- Moana – July 10th, 2026
As of right now, there’s no word on what this film will actually be about. For all we know, it could just be one big episode of The Mandalorian, or it could help pave the way for Dave Filoni’s grand crossover film, which is meant to act as a spectacular finale for the various Disney+ series.
