We’ve only seen fragments of Zack Snyder’s upcoming epic Rebel Moon, courtesy of Netflix’s TUDUM event many moons ago. However, it has now officially been confirmed that the first teaser trailer for Rebel Moon will debut globally at this year’s Gamescom on Tuesday 22nd, August. Director Zack Snyder took to X to announce the news, and let’s just say… People are quite excited, including us.
Not only will we be getting the first trailer next week, Snyder himself will be at Gamescom in person to present it to the world. We also wouldn’t be surprised if he arrived with a few additional surprises, especially considering that Rebel Moon is only the first part in his grand plan.
When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors — outsiders, insurgents, peasants and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.

Snyder’s epic stars Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Bae Doona, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Alfonso Herrera, Stuart Martin, Sky Yang, Rhian Rees and Charlotte Maggi, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of Jimmy, a robot knight.
