We’re only two days away from the official release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Part 1 and excitement is reaching fever pitch. With critics reactions hailing the film as a masterpiece of animation it certainly seems like Sony Pictures has a huge hit on their hands.
Ahead of the film’s June 2 debut in UK cinemas we’re taking a look at the film’s stunning series of character posters which highlight many of the huge cast of characters who are populating the Spider-Verse.
Let’s start off by taking a look at our core trio of heroes in Miles (Shameik Moore), Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) and Peter (Jake Johnson):
The posters also give us a striking new look at the returning Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099. Whilst he certainly has a villainous look about him we’re not so sure he’s the true villain on the movie. What do you think?
The posters also give us a brand new look at the rest of the main cast including Spider-Punk, Spider-Cat, The Spot and both Jessica Drew and Pavitr Prabhakar. Check out the rest of the gallery below:
After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
The second film in the animated franchise features a huge cast including the returning Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld and Jake Johnson. Joining them are Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham and Oscar Isaac.
Sony Pictures will release Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Part One) exclusively in cinemas June 2, 2023.
