Anime fans in the UK are in for an entertaining cinematic event this autumn. Crunchyroll, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, has officially unveiled the trailer for The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE -Yotsuba Succession Arc- ahead of its exclusive UK cinema screenings on 4th and 5th November 2026.
Picking up directly from the events of the anime’s third season, the feature film marks the second big-screen entry in the franchise. Set in the year 2096, the story follows “Supreme Siblings” Tatsuya and Miyuki as they enter the winter season of their second year at Magic High School. Their peaceful lives are upended when they receive an invitation to the New Year’s Banquet at the Yotsuba Clan’s main manor, where the next Head of the Clan is set to be announced.
Facing the terrifying prospect of a mandatory marriage if designated as head, Miyuki dreads being separated from Tatsuya’s side. However, assuming the mantle could give her the power to free Tatsuya from his long-held status as a disdained Guardian. To grant her brother freedom, Miyuki makes a momentous decision that thrusts both siblings into the swirling political conspiracies and shocking secrets of the Yotsuba Clan.
