West Point, 1830 and Christian Bale stars in the official trailer for Netflix’s latest theatrical debut, The Pale Blue Eye.
A world-weary detective is hired to discreetly investigate the gruesome murder of a cadet. Stymied by the cadets’ code of silence, he enlists one of their own to help unravel the case of a young man the world would come to know as Edgar Allan Poe.

Based on the book by Lous Bayard, The Pale Blue Eye is written for the screen and directed by Scott Cooper. Christian Bale produces and stars alongside Harry Melling, Gillian Anderson, Lucy Boynton, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Toby Jones, Harry Lawtey, Simon McBurney, Timothy Spall, and Robert Duvall.
The Pale Blue Eye is in select cinemas December 23 and on Netflix January 6.
