Zack Snyder’s upcoming galactic adventure Rebel Moon has finished filming. The Justice League director took to Vero to announce that principle photography, which began in April, had wrapped, and he even shared a short and mysterious clip of Korean actor Bae Doona in character. Snyder’s new film will be coming to Netflix sometime in the future. While a release date has not yet been confirmed, we’re hoping that it won’t be too long of a wait… We really want to see this film.
On Vero, Snyder wrote, “Thank you to everyone who worked on shooting Rebel Moon. I am humbled by your artistry, dedication, your incredible hard work, and your friendship. Without you there simply would be no movie. So again, I thank you! That’s a wrap on principal photography!!!!”
Rebel Moon will center on a young woman called Kora who embarks on a journey to seek aid from neighbouring planets after her peaceful colony is attacked by a fierce dictator called Belisarius.
The cast is rather impressive as well… Anthony Hopkins voices a JC1435 robot called Jimmy, Sofia Boutella will star as Kora, the film’s lead, Djimon Hounsou will play General Titus, and Ed Skrein will step in as the film’s big villain, Regent Belisarius. The cast also includes Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Michiel Huisman, Jena Malone, Cary Elwes, Stuart Martin, Kingston Foster, Corey Stoll, Doona, Alfonso Herrera, Ingvar Sigurdsson, Fra Fee, and Staz Nair.
