The Last of Us will be coming to Sky Atlantic and NOW on January 16th, 2023. If you think about it… That’s not really that far away. Once Christmas is out of the way, The Last of Us will be one of the first major releases waiting for us in 2023. We’re not complaining… But what a way to enter 2023, right? We cannot wait for this series, but we know what’s waiting for us and that scares us.
Now, to celebrate the upcoming release of The Last of Us which sees Pedro Pascal take on the role of Joel, who is arguably one of the greatest video game characters in existence, and Game of Thrones‘ Bella Ramsey who will be tackling this monstrous world as Ellie, we have been gifted with a brand new poster. What’s fun about this poster is that it’s incredibly similar to the original PlayStation cover which has both Ellie and Joel looking over their shoulder. It’s a brilliant nod to the original game and we’re certain that the entire show will be full of nods and easter eggs specifically for those die hard gamers who have endured so much through both games.
Check out the new poster below:
Based on the critically acclaimed video game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog exclusively for the PlayStation® platforms, The Last of Us will be available in all Sky markets including the UK & Ireland, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The story takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival… Players of the game will of course know that brutality and torture that awaits us.
