Netflix Confirms STRANGER THINGS 4 Episode Split, First 8 Minutes Released
Check out the first eight minutes of STRANGER THINGS 4 as Netflix confirms how the episodes will be split in to two volumes.

Netflix has confirmed the episode split for the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things. We’ve known for some time that season 4 would be split in to two volumes, with volume one arriving this Friday (May 27).
In a new press release, the studio has confirmed that episodes 401 through 407 will release this week as volume one. The second volume will be made up of just two episodes, 408 and 409 and will premiere on July 1, 2022.
To get you hyped for Friday’s release, the streamer has released the first 8 minutes from episode 401. You can watch the tantalising footage in the player below:
It’s been separately confirmed that Stranger Things 4 will run to epic lengths. The first six episodes of the season average 1hr 15mins with the seventh episode clocking in at a whopping 1hr 38 minutes to close out volume one.
When the series returns in July for its final two episodes they will be even more bloated. Episode 408 clocks in at 1hr 25 minutes before a HUGE season finale which currently runs for 2hrs 30 minutes. Overall the season will run for approximately 13 hours across nine episodes.
In season 4 it’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.
Stranger Things was created by The Duffer Brothers and is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions & 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, Iain Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn.
Stranger Things 4, Volume 1 premieres on May 27, only on Netflix and will be followed by Volume 2 on July 1.
