Fire and Blood, the famous saying eternally attached to house Targaryen. For years and years, their iconic and fearsome sigil has been a subject of controversay throughout all of Westeros. Whether you were a Stark or a Lannister. Targaryens meant trouble. Now, if you a big fan of George R. R. Martin’s work, you may have more knowledge on the Targaryens. However, HBO’s Game of Thrones only briefly touched on their troublesome history. With only a few Targaryens remaining, it was somewhat difficult to do. But now… Fans have the chance to dive into the rich history of the Targaryen House. Set 200 years prior to the events of the main series, House of the Dragon tells the story of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war that became known as the “Dance of the Dragons.”
We finally have an official release date for HBO’s upcoming prequel. Yes, after months of waiting we can confirm that House of the Dragon will debut on HBO Max from August 21st, 2022.

The series stars Matt Smith as legendary Prince Daemon Targaryen. Co-starring are Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans and Fabien Frankel. It was recently confirmed that Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Graham McTavish, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, and Gavin Spokes have also joined the cast.
Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal will serve as co-showrunners on the series, and will also serve as executive producers along with George R. R. Martin and Vince Gerardis. Martin and Condal co-created the show.
