We needed this. We really did needed this. We’ve known about this particular The Mandalorian figure for quite a while. When The Child, or Grogu, was at the peak of his popularity both Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles teased life-size figures for the adorable little companion.
We’ve seen a great deal from Sideshow’s version. Now, it’s time for Hot Toys‘ figure to have the spotlight. To put it simply, it’s incredible adorable.
Check out little Grogu!
One of the major differences between the two versions is that this version is actually a figure rather than a statue, which means you’ll be able to actually move the figure. From the looks of it, Grogu comes with an assortment of accessories like ears and hands. What is interesting about this figure is that Grogu has an articulated jaw meaning you can somehow move the mouth to change the overall expression.
Of course, with the images out in the open it is likely that fans will be clashing heads. Which version is better… Hot Toys or Sideshow? Both collectibles are very good. But they both come with pros and cons. Sideshow’s statue is incredibly limited and for Hot Toys you have the joint lines across the ears. Personally, we’d be more inclined to go with Hot Toys just because you have a lot more freedom. Imaging posing him with a little cup, or making him reach out to The Force. The possibilities are incredibly exciting for any collector.
