Sony Pictures updates much of its early 2021 release slate in the wake of continuing cinema closures due to the pandemic.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife (Sony Pictures)

2021 is starting to give us a real sense of de ja vu when it comes to big cinema releases. Already we’ve seen moves for No Time To Die and Morbius. Now Sony Pictures has confirmed more of its upcoming release slate will be making a move.

Will Gluck’s Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway is making the leap from April to June 11. Kay Cannon’s Cinderella, due for release in just a couple of weeks with no trailer and no poster, is leaving February for July 16.

In news which is closer to home, Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife departs its planned June release for November 11, 2021. But the biggest shock to come from this latest update is the news that Ruben Fleischer’s Uncharted, starring Tom Holland, is exiting 2021 completely with a new release date of February 11, 2022.

When will it all end!?
