Work has once again come to halt on season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher after four crew members tested positive for Covid-19. Filming was underway at Arborfield Studios, west of London when the outbreak occurred.
The news, first reported by Deadline, understands that all involved in production are now being tested. No members of the series main cast are thought to be involved with the outbreak.
This latest shutdown marks the second for the Netflix fantasy series. Back in March actor Kristofer Hivju revealed that he too had tested positive for the virus. That shutdown coincided with the UK’s first major lockdown and put the series out of action until August.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season one is available to stream now on Netflix.
