The Suicide Squad director, James Gunn, has revealed that his Peacemaker series for HBO Max is set to start filming much sooner than we anticipated.
Gunn has previously spoken out about the eight-part series filming between his duties on The Suicide Squad and heading back to Marvel Studios to take up the director chair on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But in a new tweet it seems that time may very well be now.
https://twitter.com/JamesGunn/status/1325505559009742848Celebrating (and thanking) Xbox for sending one of the new Xbox Series X consoles, Gunn mentions he may have to use his quarantine down time ahead of Peacemaker in order to get some gaming time in.
“Lovely gift from my friends at @XBox (of course it’s in the busiest time of my life, between two movies & a TV show).” said Gunn. “But perhaps I’ll find some down time as I begin my mandatory two-week quarantine here in Canada for Peacemaker.”
Peacemaker, played by John Cena, will first show up in August 2021’s The Suicide Squad. Whilst we don’t have a trailer for that film yet you can check out a special behind-the-scenes featurette in the player below:
