Fast 9 (Universal Pictures)

Universal Pictures are looking to wrap up the Fast & Furious franchise with just two final movies that will tie up the gang’s journey together. The franchise has gone on for over almost two decades and has grossed over $5 billion dollars. It has quickly evolved into a franchise that no longer focuses on street races, but looks to entertain audiences with ludicrous yet epic stunts. However, regardless of your opinion of Fast & Furious, all good things must come to an end. The end of the road is near for our beloved gang and their flashy cars.

According to Deadline, Justin Lin, who is directing Fast 9, is in talks to direct the last two installments. Of course, it is early days so things could change in regards to directors and the franchise’s ending. What is important to know is that there is an end in sight. Our guess is that Fast 9 will set off a catalyst which will launch us into the final two chapters.

Considering how crazy these films have progressively become, going from simple street races all the way to extremes like parachuting cars and building leaping, it looks as though we can expect world ending stakes and insane stunts as we wave goodbye to Toretto and his crew.

Fast 9 is set to hit cinemas on April 2nd, 2020. The 9th film stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris”  Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Anna Sawai, John Cena, Michael Rooker, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron.
