Work on The Witcher season 2 ground to a halt earlier this year along with… well the rest of the world.
But with restrictions begging in relax, series director Stephen Surjik has confirmed that work has resumed on the second season of Netflix’s hit series starring Henry Cavill.
In a post shared on Instagram the director wrote “It’s T minus 3 min to ignition and lift off for our second run at Witcher S2. Everyone is being cautious but spirits are high. You’re looking out new covid communication system, reducing close contact among crew.”
Netflix had initially confirmed that production would restart on August 17, but it seems the crew has been able to get things together a littler soon than expected.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season one is available to stream now on Netflix.
