This news got me fist pumping the air. I am a huge fan of movie soundtracks and despite my immense excitement for Godzilla vs. Kong, this announcement really cemented it.
With the (hopefully) epic sequel delayed once again, I wasn’t really expecting any news for quite a while. I certainly wasn’t expecting any news regarding the soundtrack.
Tom Holkenborg, also known as Junkie XL, has confirmed his involvement in the upcoming installment in the MonsterVerse. Godzilla vs. Kong will see the two titans face off while Holkenborg’s score blares in the background.
Looks like the monster is out of the bag.

Yes! Happy to finally announce I will compose the score for Adam Wingard's monster epic Godzilla vs. Kong.
Expect… BIG things. 😉 pic.twitter.com/9rdySWa3rI
Junkie XL has produced some outstanding soundtracks ranging from the unforgettable Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v Superman, Alita, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. If you are a fan of his work, like I am, you’ll know immediately that we are in for quite a treat.
I really hope he uses Godzilla’s theme from Bear McCreay’s King of the Monsters. But I can’t wait to see what he brings to the film in general. I am expecting some really epic tracks.
