I absolutely love some Kaiju magic. Seeing Godzilla: King of the Monsters, despite its flaws, was a treat. Witnessing the might of Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan on the big screen was an incredibly memorable experience. The next big installment in the MonsterVerse is Godzilla vs Kong. However, it seems we have even more waiting to do now.
Godzilla vs Kong has been delayed once again. Originally, the film was set to stomp into theaters in May 2020- jumping from May 29th to May 22nd, then it was moved to March 13th. Shortly after the anticipated sequel was pushed back again to a November 20th release.
Now, the blockbuster that unites the two most iconic monsters has been moved to May 21st 2021. Legendary Pictures announced the news via their Twitter by sharing a message from Adam Wingard.

Adam Wingard also took to Instagram to announce the official rating for Godzilla vs Kong which will be PG-13. He then teased the film’s scale with the cheeky caption:
“That’s an understatement 😉 “
https://www.instagram.com/p/CBBaAUmlbKn/Godzilla fans are patient fans. We waited 5 years for King of the Monsters after the 2014 release of Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla. So another 11 months will be a piece of cake. However, with the delay it is hard to predict when we will get a trailer. Hopefully it is soon.
