Back in August things were looking pretty bleak for Robocop Returns. The newly announced sequel to the classic version of the franchise had just lost its director, Neil Blomkamp.
Now THR is reporting that things are getting back on track for the MGM property as it has found a new director. Little Monsters director, Abe Forsythe, is now said to be in final talks with the studio to take over. The trade understands that Forsythe will also pen a new draft of the script, written by Terminator: Dark Fate‘s Justin Rhodes and the original Robocop scribes Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner.
No official announcement from the studio on this as yet.
