Despite the first season not debuting for another month Netflix has announced that The Witcher will be returning for a second season!
The streaming behemoth announced the news on its social media channels yesterday to the sound of rapturous applause from the internet. The series is an adaption of the best-selling series of novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. The series has also been turned in to a hugely successful series of games.

In The Witcher Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) stars as as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier.
The series will be exclusively available to stream via Netflix starting December 20.
