The creative team behind BBC One’s new Dracula series – and lead actor Claes Bang – were on hand at London’s MCM Comic Con to premiere the series’ first trailer.
A little over 24hrs later The BBC debuted the chilling trailer online and gave fans worldwide their first look at Steven Moffatt and Mark Gatiss’ unique take on the character.
During the panel it was revealed that the new series took around 100 days to film its three, 90min episodes and took in some historical shooting locations.
Interior stages were constructed on the soundstage once used by the legendary Hammer Horror film. Most excitingly, the production was able to secure the use of Orava Castle in Oravsky Podzamok, Slovakia. That castle was famously used in the legendary black and white classic Nosferatu.
