On Friday we brought you the breaking news that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios had struck a deal for Spider-Man to remain in the MCU.
Now Disney CEO Bob Iger has weighed in on what this means going forwards in a tweet which declares the “feud” between the studios as over.
Disney-Sony @SpiderMan feud ends. Kevin Feige to produce sequel!!!

This certainly warms my heart! Thank you @Sony!
Iger also thanks Sony for remaining at the table and discussing the fact negotiations have been ongoing behind the scenes.
It is said the new Spider-Man deal gives Disney a larger share of the box office. Sony still gets 75% of the film’s box office receipts, whilst Disney will get 25% and contribute 25% of the budget.
Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 will hit theaters on July 16, 2021.
