It’s been a long time coming for the second season of Mindhunter.
The David Fincher series, originally released in 2017, has had a two-year gap between seasons and we couldn’t be more excited to see it brought back this August 16th.
The new season will explore the “Atlanta child murders,” a series of killings between 1979-1981, where at least 28 African American children, teenagers, and adults were killed.
Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany will be returning as the two lead detectives, this time consulting with two other killers alongside the scene-stealing Edward Kemper, bringing in Charles Manson and the Son of Sam.
Interestingly, this will be the second time actor Damon Herriman will play Manson this year, after just finishing up Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
