Netflix is a notoriously secretive company when it comes to their viewing figures. On rare occasions the streaming giant will divulge small nuggets of info which give us a glimpse inside their world. Today is one of those days.
The company has announced that Stranger Things third season has smashed viewing records in its first week on the platform.
In a tweet released yesterday Netflix confirmed that in its first week of streaming the latest batch of episodes had been watched by 40.7 million households. That’s the highest of any series of film ever in the history of Netflix. Of that figure, 18.2 million had already completed the eight episode season in full.
